Many iPhone users were complaining that their iPhones are not getting charged above 80%. This is due to the fact that they have enabled optimised battery charging on their iPhone.
Apple have restricted the charging capacity of iPhone to 80% when charging overnight via a setting called as OPTIMISED BATTERY CHARGING.
When the iPhone is being charged at night it reaches 100% and due to this can increase the temperature of the iPhone. This leads to a negative impact on the battery health of iPhone.
To protect the battery health and make the battery last longer of an iPhone, this setting is enabled by default on all modern iPhones.
So charging the iPhone at night is an ease as the battery will never reach 100% thus protecting the battery health and making it last longer.
This setting can be disabled by the user in battery health setting. This can be disabled temporarily or permanently depending on the use case scenario.
Also to be noted that its not recommended to turn off this setting entirely.
However if you disable it then will charge the iPhone at much faster rate and upto 100%.
